Live Mesh

Come on you really did not think that Apple was the only one trying to get all their devices connected via MobileMe. Apple’s announcement of MobileMe during the WWDC 2008 was a predictable one, mainly because Microsoft has been cooking the same brew for some time now.

Yes I am referring to MESH, which is called the future of Microsoft by many analyst and it sure seems to be hence evolving. Google is already on the Cloud Computing bandwagon and Apple’s announcement of MobileMe is much bigger that Microsoft’s beta of Live Mesh.

However Microsoft is not far behind in the competition and Live Mesh is shaping up quite well.

Follow up:

Online desktop, synced devices and the works.

And most important why pay Apple if MESH provides syncing Mac devices also and that to for free. Although still in beta but Microsoft is slowly adding the features of syncing Mac devices and Mobile phones as well.

I had discussed Cloud Computing some time back and it is truly revolutionizing the way computing works today.

Take a look at the Mesh architecture below, all data goes back to the Mesh Cloud freeing your system of the much need resources. Everything is secured over SSL and even the data is stored in encrypted format (AES 128 key for all data transfers)

As times are progressing it is clear that consumers will need more powerful Internet connections rather than processors to stay up to date with technology.

I know there are already many alternatives available to ride the Cloud, but with Major players moving into the concept we surly know where the future is heading.
